The Geographic
Information Services of the Public Works Department was created in
1995 to operate and maintain the city's Geographic Information System.
A Geographic Information System is
an "organized collection of computer hardware, software, geographic
data, and personnel designed to efficiently capture, store, update,
manipulate, analyze, and display all forms of geographically referenced
information".

NOTE: Loading time will vary depend on your
internet access speed. Periodically, the map server may be unavailable
during routine maintenance usually about fifteen minutes. If any of the
maps are unavailable for more than thirty minutes, please contact the
GIS Supervisor or call (805)
